The Geronimo patch on the 101st soldier was never used or placed on this uniform during the World War II. In fact there is no record of the troops saying Geronimo as they jumped from the aeroplanes as some folks believe. The actual 101st Motto was "Curahee" a Cherokee Indian word meaning "Stand Alone"
